My Professional artistic
name, DeborahLynn, began in the early 1970's at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, USA . I have been involved in art, design and photography
for over 30 years, including wedding photography, portrait photography,
old photograph copying and restoration services long before the digital
age of photography, industrial photography, Pittsburgh themed photography
and airbrush projects. More recently in 2002 I earned a Certificate in
Computer Aided Graphic Design at the Salford College of Art and Design
in Worsley, Manchester, UK. I am currently studying towards the National
Diploma in Multimedia Studies at same Salford College of Art and Design.
My paintings are all acrylics but recently I have raised the impact with
uniquely textured acrylic combinations on standard or 3D canvasses. This
is not my complete portfolio but it does represent my more recent work
here in the UK.
I hope you'll enjoy viewing my art. Please click for abstract acrylics by DeborahLynn. |

After gaining her art degree
in design in 1980 from Manchester Polytechnic, Bee Morrison began teaching
art to people of all ages. Bee is a highly knowledgable and experienced
art tutor and her style of teaching is very sympathetic to the needs of
the absolute beginner and for the more experienced painter. She has an
attractive style of painting that is colourful, atmospheric and sometimes
very impressionistic. Bee's paintings have been exhibited in the Mall
Gallery, London, France, the Lake District, Cheshire and all over the
Northwest of England. Bee painted a watercolour portrait of Queen Elizabeth
II to celebrate the start of the Queen's 50th Jubilee Year. It was presented
to the Queen and has been accepted into the Royal Collection.

In June 2000, as a mature student, Janette completed a degree in Fine Art from the University of York. To study for this was a long-held ambition and now, in any spare moments, she can be found in her studio at the rear of the house. Apart from the murals she has painted in the guest rooms and other parts of the house and outside, the interior walls of Grinkle Lodge feature her easel paintings, most of which are available to purchase. She specialises in interesting and different still-life subjects, sometimes with a surreal twist, more recently combined with Yorkshire coastal landscape and has exhibited in York, Whitby, Scarborough and Newcastle. Her work is held in many private collections in the UK.
